Prince Harry’s life changed forever when he decided to leave the Royal Family with Meghan Markle in 2020. The estranged prince then went on to reveal all the eye-opening details about his royal past, accusing his family members of all sorts of things in both interviews and books.

It’s safe to say that the royals weren’t pleased with his actions, and Harry has reportedly not spoken with his brother, Prince William, for years. Meanwhile, he and Meghan have decided not to travel back to the UK with their children, Archie and Lilibet. That means that the kids don’t have any relationship with their relatives in the Royal Family, which many a commenter has branded as sad.

There have been reports about Prince Harry missing his old life and possibly even regretting writing some things in his bombshell memoir, Spare. However, one royal expert isn’t having it at all – and has now shared quite a brutal verdict about Harry.

Prince Harry’s feud with the royals has lasted for five years. It’s been two years since he released his tell-all memoir, Spare, which shocked the Royal Family. Buckingham Palace has not made a single statement about Harry’s accusations; King Charles, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and the others have refused to even mention Harry and the feud once.

At the same time as the bickering between the royals and Harry and Meghan is ongoing, one other subject is causing a lot of anger. The Duke and Duchess’ children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have barely met their relatives in the Royal Family, meaning Charles has a virtually non-existent relationship with his grandchildren.

It’s been said that he is heartbroken over the fact that he doesn’t get to see Archie and Lilibet. Harry and Meghan, meanwhile, say they will not return to the UK until they’re afforded the security they feel they need.

The estranged prince’s lawyers are set to appeal the High Court judgment upholding a Home Office decision to downgrade his security provision in the UK – the security issue surrounding Harry and Meghan’s possible return has been ongoing for a long time.

Prince Harry & the feud with the Royal Family

One source told the Daily Beast that Harry wants to pressure Charles to use his influence to help the Sussexes get increased security when visiting the UK — but whether this will ever happen is yet to be known.

According to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, that subject has worsened Harry’s situation with his father. Speaking on The Royal Record podcast last summer, Fitzwilliams claimed the father-son duo’s relationship is “dreadful.”

“This is a very, very curious issue because when the Sussexes stepped back, only to step down as senior working royals, they knew they would lose automatic police protection,” he said. “Harry believes this was a wrong decision and that it was wrongly made. He’s sued against the Home Office. I mean, he was always going to lose that.”

Speaking with Hello! Magazine, a friend of Harry now shares that the Duke has a mission to return to the UK and won’t back down from the security demands.

“The goal for Prince Harry is simple. He wants to ensure the safety of himself and his family while in the UK so his children can know his home country and so he can help support his patronages and their important work,” the source said.

While Harry wants his father to intervene to reinstate he and his family’s protection, a source close to King Charles said it would be “wholly inappropriate” for the monarch to challenge a government decision. The big question is whether Harry even has a chance to win and, therefore, visit the UK once again.

“The next case is fundamentally important to him in terms of his family,” a source told Hello! Magazine. “It’s not quite the end of the story for him, but it’s a major chapter that’s been closed and dealt with.”

Royal expert claims Harry ‘chose exile’ in the US

Harry and Meghan’s life in the US is entirely different from what they were used to in the UK. This is not only because of the lifestyle and warm weather, but also because their social life is not what it once was. Prince Harry has been rumored to miss his old friends in the UK, and it’s even been suggested that he might want to return to his former royal duties.

Though it could be argued that Harry’s done his utmost to paint himself as a victim in this whole sorry affair, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams has another view. According to him, Harry is the one to blame.

“Harry is in exile – he chose it,” royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Fox News. “It’s lonely, and he will undoubtedly miss his friends and family. There is no sign whatsoever of the rift in the Royal Family healing. King Charles and the Prince and Princess of Wales have, to put it mildly, other priorities.”

“I think Meghan is undoubtedly the dominant person in their relationship,” he added. “I don’t doubt he wishes they had managed to arrange a half-in, half-out arrangement [with the Royal Family], especially as his military links meant so much to him.”

Harry’s book, Spare, might have sold a record number of copies and made him a lot of money. However, as we all know, it also cost him his relationship with his family, and British broadcaster Helana Chard states there is no turning back for him.

“A self-assured, self-titled, angry Prince Harry thought it was completely OK to publicly verbally annihilate his family,” said Chard. “It is said he was naïve and didn’t realize it would upset his family. . . . He didn’t realize that his actions would cause such a fallout with his family and the public.”

Harry branded “social awkward”

The British broadcaster added that there have been “signs of paranoid upset” for Harry and that he “gradually phased out close friends who he deemed not woke enough or friends he accused of violating his privacy by leaking stories to the press.”

“He is socially awkward when it comes to developing new and meaningful relationships,” she concluded. “He was heavily sheltered growing up and developed his best friendships in school. But those people are hundreds of miles away, in different time zones, and focused on their own young families.”

Harry’s relationship with his father is terrible, as stands. But sadly, there is one relationship that is even worse. The estranged prince and his brother, Prince William, have not spoken for over three years, as per reports, and the idea that the future king would ever forgive his brother seems far-fetched.

Speaking to Fox, royal expert Hilary Fordwich said that if there’s one person likely to engage in peace talks with Harry, it’s King Charles. At the same time, the possibility of the Duke engaging in similar talks with his brother is “unlikely.”

“If anyone would relent, it would be King Charles III, whom, of course, Prince William won’t challenge. [He] still misses his ‘darling boy’ and would like to see more of Prince Harry,” Fordwich told Fox.

“However, to this day, after the release of [his memoir] ‘Spare’ and the Netflix series, as well as with everything else Harry has said, done and not done – it’s Prince William who adamantly refuses to even speak to his brother.”

Former royal butler claims Harry has ‘forgotten’ Diana’ crucial lesson

She continued: “With Prince Harry, it’s all an issue of trust. Prince William is the most unlikely royal to ever forgive Harry for all his despicable indiscretions. He is now very much seen and accepted as the family enforcer, taking on the hard-line ruler role of his grandfather, Prince Philip.”

It remains to be seen if Harry can ever make amends with his older brother – if indeed that’s what he wants. The two have been through a lot together, not least the tragic passing of their mother, Princess Diana.

William and Harry supported each other through the incredibly traumatic period after their mother passed away. They were both very young at the time and became inseparable, but as we all know, that’s no longer the case.

In the summer of 2021, they re-connected to unveil a new Diana statue at the Kensington Gardens, but the odds of them doing anything similar today are extremely low. Still, both William and Harry have spoken about their mother and what she taught them about life. In the future king’s case, he’s continued with the traditions he learned; he now takes his children to homeless shelters to show them that not everyone is as lucky in life as they are.

Sadly, not everyone agrees that Harry has continued his mother’s teachings. Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, claims that the Duke has forgotten what his mother taught him.

“I always circle back to the fact that Harry’s mother taught him long ago that the price for a privileged lifestyle is public service. Harry seems to have forgotten this lesson now he lives a celebrity Hollywood lifestyle that’s totally different from his royal one,” Burrell, who worked for Princess Diana from 1987 until her death, said, per the Mirror.

Prince Harry & Prince William’s bitter feud

Recently, a long piece about Harry and Meghan was published in Vanity Fair, which made several provocative claims against the couple. It didn’t paint the most charming pictures of the Duke and Duchess, and according to Burrell, it has greatly impacted Harry and Meghan.

“Vanity Fair is a prestigious title, so to print such a damning article about Harry and Meghan is quite a precedent,” he added. “They’re confirming what everybody else suspects and they’re listening to the people who are in the know, and don’t speculate.”

“I take this article as pretty factual. I’ve never met Meghan myself, but how can so many other people be wrong? It’s not possible. I know from firsthand experience how difficult Harry can be. I know how petulant he can be and how spoiled he is, because I’ve experienced that myself. He’s always lived in a bubble.”

From William’s perspective, though, burying the hatchet with his brother isn’t remotely close to the top of his list of priorities. Royal expert Jennie Bond recently shared a heartbreaking verdict for all royal fans hoping a reunion could be on the table.

“I still think things are too sensitive for a meaningful reconciliation with William, but the fact that he and Catherine authorised the greeting to be posted is definitely an unexpected turn of events,” Bond told OK!, referring to the Prince and Princess of Wales’ happy birthday post to Harry, per the Mirror.

William ‘has no room in his heart’ to deal with his Prince Harry

“I don’t think we should hold our breath for the step to really signal the start of a reconciliation, but it was an unexpected turn of events.”

She added: “William has so much on his plate at the moment that I don’t think he has room in his heart or head to deal with all that has gone on with Harry. While the brothers may never be close again, or even live on the same continent, it doesn’t mean that the future has to be full of bitterness and bad blood. Catherine is right. Family should always be paramount.”
