In 2019, the truck driver was sentenced to eight years in prison.

The deadliest accident in Canadian history occurred in 1997 when a bus carrying elderly people plunged into a ravine in the province of Quebec, resulting in the death of 44 individuals.

In such tragic moments, everyone is united in the desire to offer support and solidarity to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in these devastating accidents.

It is important to remember to be vigilant and responsible when behind the wheel and to abide by traffic rules to ensure that such tragedies never occur again.
