Expert Opinions on Jennifer Aniston’s Possible Cosmetic Procedures
Dr. Richard Devine, a plastic surgeon, suggested that Jennifer Aniston’s new look might result from a botched cosmetic procedure. He attributed the changes to an excessive injection of a gel-like substance into the tear trough—the area between the lower eyelid and the cheek. Tear trough filler is a popular choice among celebrities for combating sagging, crow’s feet, and under-eye bags.
“What we’re seeing here is tear trough filler gone wrong,” Dr. Devine explained in a social media video. “Complications like this occur when too much filler is injected, or when the product attracts too much water, causing swelling.“
Filler Complications and Their Impact
Dr. Devine elaborated that the excessive projection of the filler could create shadows around the eyes and deep ridges in the mid-cheek, ironically making one look more tired and aged. As people age, the area under the eyes can appear more sunken due to a natural loss of facial volume. Fillers, often made of hyaluronic acid, are used to attract water to the area, making it appear plumper, though the results can take days to weeks to settle.
Dr. Elie Levine, a New York City plastic surgeon, also speculated that the swelling under Jennifer Aniston’s left eye was likely due to filler. “She has some swelling under her left eye, probably from fillers,” he said. He noted that such swelling could occur from a single injection or repeated treatments, especially given Aniston’s age. He suggested that dissolving fillers or using lasers to tighten the skin could address this issue.
Dr. Levine also observed a slight swelling under Aniston’s left eye in March 2023, indicating that makeup might have previously concealed the swelling more effectively. He commented on Aniston’s fuller lips, suggesting they could be another sign of filler use.
