Do you know which famous person we don’t hear much from? Julia Roberts.
The Oscar-winning actress has appeared in some of the most successful films of the past three decades, and yet we fans hardly know anything about her.
When Julia Roberts became a wife and mother, her life changed for the better. Today, her three kids have grown up. Julia’s daughter, in particular, has gained a lot of attention in recent years.
Given that the young woman is growing to resemble her famous mother, that may not be so unusual. Nowadays, most famous people have social media profiles where they connect with their followers and regularly post photos of their families and themselves. But despite being one of the most well-known actors in history, Julia Roberts hasn’t yet boarded that ship.
There is a Twitter account with more than 540,000 followers registered in her name, but the owner of the account has not tweeted even once. So, Facebook? She’s not active there either, so no.
“I also think I got lucky because … the strange culture of celebrity and the Internet age — I kind of am too old for that silly mess that goes on. I’m glad about that. It’s helped that I’m definitely of a particular age,” she said.
Roberts mainly uses her Instagram page to give updates, and even then, she seldom ever includes pictures of her family in her postings. No, Roberts hasn’t posted very many photos of her kids throughout the years; she rather prefers to keep them private.
“We try to protect our kids. We just want to have our family life and not have that intruded upon,” the actress explained.
Julia dated a number of well-known actors throughout the years, including Benjamin Bratt and Kiefer Sutherland. She was formerly known as America’s Sweetheart and had a long line of men waiting for her.
In the height of her professional life, Julia began dating musician Lyle Lovett. The musician unexpectedly consented to wed the actress since he could not believe his good fortune. The marriage did not survive very long, though, because of all the stress they were dealing with.
In actuality, the pair got married in 1993 and got divorced in 1995.The Pretty Woman actress discovered her true love working behind the camera five years later. On the set of The Mexican in 2000, she met cameraman Daniel Moder. They subsequently wed in 2002.
In 2004, the couple welcomed twins Phinnaeus and Hazel. They welcomed Henry, a second son, three years later. Roberts claims that becoming a mother and wife significantly altered the course of her life. Young Julia was “a selfish little brat running around making films.”
Her husband changed that. “It was meeting Danny…finding my person. When I think about what makes my life my life, and makes sense and just shine inside of me, it’s him. Everything has come from that for me,” Julia remarks.
Julia and Danny have collaborated on a number of movies throughout the years. Since then, their bond has grown stronger, and they have been blissfully married for 20 years. In order to commemorate their 19th wedding anniversary, Julia posted a unique Instagram snapshot of her and her husband.
“19 years. Just getting started!” she wrote. Today, Julia is a very proud mom to her twins, daughter Hazel and son Phinnaeus, and her youngest child, Henry.
The Notting Hill star is still one of the world’s well-known faces, but Julia describes herself as a regular soccermom and housewife. During her interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she said: “If I wasn’t here today, I’d be in the carpool lane ferrying my kids to school.”
Julia gave birth to her twins in November 2004 as was previously reported. In the meantime, son Henry was born in June 2007. Although Julia views her children as her greatest accomplishment, she and her husband haven’t always found parenting to be simple.
“I tried to carry somebody up to bed the other night, and it was just … alright, you’re gonna have to get on your feet and sleepwalk because I just can’t get up the stairs,” she joked in an interview.
As previously known, Julia has made an effort to shield her kids from the media. However, the honored actress has occasionally spoken candidly about her function as a mother. She has also admitted that both she and the children’s father, Danny, are remarkably similar to one another.
“And the thing is, we have these three human beings who are just a complete reflection of the affection we have for each other,” she said.
Roberts moved from bustling Los Angeles and settled down in San Francisco, in a more diverse neighborhood, in order to spend more alone time with her children and possibly to avoid the paparazzi of Hollywood.
She did it so she could raise her kids in a less-publicized atmosphere and escape the spotlight. Julia “wanted her children to have the experience of a city with a different energy and vibe,” according to a friend.
“Her kids are not movie star kids in San Francisco, where no one cares who your mom is,” the insider added.
It has gotten harder for her to keep her kids out of the spotlight as they get older. Or perhaps Julia simply has a different point of view. On November 17, 2021, Hazel and Phinnaeus got heartfelt greetings from their mother, who shared a lovely flashback picture. Danny also gave the kids a heartfelt shout-out.
The only child of Julia, Hazel, not much was known about her for a long time. However, fresh images of Hazel have lately surfaced, and many people are shocked by how like the mother and daughter appear. Hazel resembles her mother exactly, save the blond hair, right?
In addition, Hazel appears to have inherited her mother’s kind spirit. When she was 12 years old, Hazel opted to chop her hair and give it to Wigs for Kids, Julia once stated.
“That’s a big deal for a girl who’s about to be 13 and has this cascading blonde hair that gets commented on a lot,” Julia mentioned.
“But she’s so good and brave. She sees it as something else.”
When the lovely blonde made her red carpet debut at the Cannes Film Festival in 2021, Hazel raised a lot of eyes.
Together with her father, who was there to promote his movie Flag Day, Hazel attended the festival.
According to Etonline, 16-year-old Hazel “went ’90s chic in a butterscotch yellow button-up lace shirtdress” and wore Mary Jane shoes.
