Those who aren’t fans of the royal family might think of their lives as a reality series. Others see the monarchy and its members as something completely different and certainly not something that would be shown on television. However, even if royal family members such as Prince William, Kate Middleton, King Charles, or Queen Camilla probably never will be involved in such shows, there are those connected to the royal family who have.

Some years ago, Mike Tindall, the husband of Zara Tindall and daughter of Princess Anne, appeared on a celebrity reality show in Australia. Now, another person connected to The Firm has decided to jump on the celebrity television train—and this time, it’s Kate’s uncle, Gary Goldsmith.

The Princess of Wales’s uncle appeared on the British version of Celebrity Big Brother. As Goldsmith entered the house, he spilled many details about his niece, the royal family, and even Meghan Markle. However, it appears that Kate is far from happy about it. According to an expert, his appearance has left her deeply upset—even to the point where her mental health has deteriorated because of it.

Kate Middleton could return home from The London Clinic 13 days after her abdominal surgery. The Princess of Wales finally was reunited with her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, and even though her recovery would mean taking it very easy, most likely having to avoid any physical activity, she probably had many other fun things to activate herself and her children with.

Easter is only a few weeks away, and Kate Middleton was initially said to return to royal duty when the holiday was over. Time will tell if the timeline of her return is still realistic, but even so, if and when she returns, she should not stress it.

Kate Middleton – recovery from surgery

Sophie Cress, a licensed therapist and mental health expert, told GB News that the Princess of Wales “needs to strike a careful balance” once she returns to her royal duties.

“It is crucial to address the topic of Kate’s potential engagements from a psychological standpoint when she returns to her royal duties,” Cress said. “Resuming work after a recuperation period, particularly after surgery, necessitates striking a careful balance between mental and physical health.

“Kate is probably going to ease her way back into her royal responsibilities, giving priority to things that suit her energy and health at the moment. Psychologically speaking, it’s critical that Kate maintains her autonomy and sense of control over her schedule as she gradually returns to her duties.”

Sophie Cress added that Kate would benefit from having plenty of flexibility, and participating in events about things she is most passionate about, such as mental health issues, could be a good idea.

“Initiatives centered around mental health awareness or philanthropic ventures that allow Kate to reconnect with her hobbies and interests can be sources of fulfillment and drive,” she continued.

“Given the public nature of her position, Activities that require Kate to interact with people may also be extremely important to her healing process. Participating in social activities can offer chances for validation, support, and connection—all critical components of preserving psychological health.”

Kate Middleton’s uncle Gary Goldsmith on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’

Kate Middleton is said to have been doing royal work from the hospital, such as answering emails. Meanwhile, she also wrote a letter to a grieving widow, but while home alone during the day, watching television is probably what many people would do.

Previously, Prince William revealed that Kate and her mother, Carole, are huge fans of Strictly Come Dancing. Also, Prince Harry claimed his brother and sister-in-law were ‘religious’ fans of Suits before they found out he was dating Meghan Markle., which he laid out in his book, Spare.

Reality television isn’t Kate Middleton’s thing and has never been. Therefore, we can assume that she won’t start watching it now—especially as one of her family members appears in one of the controversial shows.

Not long ago, it was confirmed that Kate Middleton’s uncle, Gary Goldsmith, was set to appear in the UK version of Celebrity Big Brother. Now, he has entered the house, and even though Kate, William, and the palace have been very secluded about releasing any information about how her recovery is going, Goldsmith isn’t afraid to speak out.

On Monday morning, March 4, Gary Goldsmith entered the Big Brother house. Once inside, every single second for 24 hours a day is broadcast, and viewers can see and hear almost everything.

Shortly before Goldsmith entered the house, he gave several interviews, which, of course, were about his niece, Kate Middleton.

In later weeks, conspiracy theories about where she is, how she is doing, and all sorts of things have come to light on the internet.

Gary Goldsmith reveal details about Kate Middleton’s health

Goldsmith decided to speak to his fellow Celebrity Big Brother house contestants Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne on the rumors about Kate’s health, saying that people should leave her alone.

“I think they should leave her alone right now because there’s a reason why they’re [family] not talking about it, and they are giving her a little bit of space. I just think it’s fundamentally wrong and if it was happening to anybody else they would think to give them some space. But because Kate’s Kate, she does such an amazing job, there’s always interest in her,” Goldsmith said.

“She’s the number one royal for a reason and I just beg people to give her some space. I do think that they’re changing the dynamic and they are family centric. They’ve got duty and it’s a privilege to have the roles that they do have, but it’s family first. You’ve got to look after yourself. You put your own oxygen mask on before you look after others. Kate, get well, love you and when you’re ready we’ll see you again. That’s what we do to anyone else, why not her?”

On Tuesday, Goldsmith revealed to people in the Celebrity Big Brother house that he had spoken to Kate’s mom, Carole Middleton, about his niece’s health.

“I spoke to her mum; she’s getting the best care in the world,” he said. “She’s amazing, she will be back, of course, she will.”

Even though Goldsmith spoke about Kate’s health on Wednesday, he said he wouldn’t discuss where she is. Some conspiracy theories have speculated that Kate isn’t at Adelaide Cottage as reported, and the “Where is Kate?” question has blown up on social media.

“She’s getting the best care in the world”

So, where is Kate? Gary Goldsmith didn’t want to say because of ‘royal etiquette.’

“Because she doesn’t want to talk about… The last thing I’m going to do is.. there’s a kind of code of etiquette. If it’s announced, I’ll give you an opinion.” Kate’s uncle said as Sky reported.

“I spoke to her mum, my sister, she’s getting the best care in the world. And all the family’s done is put the wagons round and look after family first before anything else. They put a statement out and just said ‘she’s taking some time to recoup and will see you in Easter.’”

We don’t know what Buckingham Palace really thinks about Gary Goldsmith appearing on Celebrity Big Brother and speaking with the royal family members. The palace has not commented on it and probably won’t in the future, but as for Gary’s appearance, he reveals he didn’t ask for or need permission.

Meanwhile, Goldsmith stated he wouldn’t do anything to embarrass Kate or any other family member. But even so, it appears that won’t matter to Kate Middleton.

According to royal expert Jennie Bond, the comments about Kate’s health might have deeply upset her. She claims that the Princess of Wales most likely feels “fragile” and “depressed” about her uncle appearing on Celebrity Big Brother and that it’s the “last thing she needs” as she continues her recovery.

Royal expert says Kate Middleton is “depressed” over uncle’s Celebrity Big Brother appearance

Moreover, Bond says that even if he wouldn’t do anything embarrassing, it could hurt the royals.

“I don’t think it’s a particularly close relationship and I don’t think he’s part of the ‘inner circle’ anymore – I think he’s increasingly been pushed outside that circle now. He’s very much a freelancer, doing what he wants,” she told the Mirror.

“Clearly, whatever’s happened to Catherine, she’s probably feeling fragile – mentally as well. To have a serious setback like this at the prime of your life, it must knock your confidence, and so she’ll be fragile at this stage in her recovery and to have this thrown at her. She must just be thinking, ‘Why, why, why did Uncle Gary have to do this? ‘I imagine she’s thoroughly depressed about it.”

Jennie Bond added, “I think that Gary comes from a good place in his heart. If he talks about her it’s – in his view – to give her side of the story, give her a mouth, a voice, when he knows she can’t off the back of allegations made of her. But I think it’s the last thing she’d want – if Catherine or William want to say anything, they will say it. They don’t need anyone else to, least of all someone within their own family – and they don’t have that strong connection anyway.”

Gary Goldsmith has not only spoken out about his niece, her health, and recovery while getting airtime on both television and in newspapers.

On Tuesday inside the Celebrity Big Brother house, Gary also became vocal about Harry and Meghan.

Gary Goldsmith says Meghan Markle ‘started the drama’ while in the royal family

He claimed that the Duchess was a “stick in the spokes.” According to him, she was the one creating drama.

“I have the opinion that Harry was really, really, really loved, massively loved, and when they were a threesome Kate, William and Harry were really comfortable together, loved,” he said.

“And then suddenly there’s an extra dynamic that comes in, puts a stick in the spokes and creates so much drama that I don’t generally think is there, and rewrote the history and said how unhappy he was, and I just don’t think that’s fair. And then you can’t throw your family under a bus in such a dramatic style and then write books about it and expect to be invited round for Christmas,” Gary Goldsmith added.
