“An adventure in living simply.”

This is the motto of the Hall family’s blog ‘Tiny Hall House,’ and they are indeed living out those words to the fullest.

The family of three lives in just 160-sq-ft of space.

Living in Massachusetts, the Hall family decided to downsize — big time.

Mom, Dad, and their 18-year-old son chose to live the tiny home lifestyle and move into just 160 square feet of space, smaller than many people’s bedrooms.

The home itself epitomizes simplicity, and the Halls seem to have perfected tiny home living.

So, how does the family of three pull it off? Let’s take a tour. Oh, and did we mention that they also have a dog?

The Hall family’s tiny home might be small — but it’s big in detail.

Simple yet beautiful landscaping turns this tiny house into a family home. The added detail of the front door’s curtain adds a classy element.

Even the doorknobs on this small, gorgeous home are well thought out.

Their main living space, the “big room” in most tiny homes, is perfectly well-suited for three people and their pup.

Using built-in storage minimizes clutter, and the tall ceilings make the room feel large and open. They added a ceiling fan to keep the room cool and to add airflow.

This view is seen from their loft, which will be seen in greater detail below.

Another view of the living area below shows all of the natural light that is let in by the windows.

As another space saver, the TV stand doubles as a desk and workspace.

Returning to their small but functional kitchen, you can see the loft bed above.

The mattress is held into place by brass foot rails found at a local pub.

The narrow stairs leading up to the loft are also the Hall’s pantry.

The loft is 8 feet wide, leaving plenty of space to spread out and get comfortable for a good night’s sleep.

Their bathroom might be small, but it has everything you’d need.

They added hooks on the wall for towel storage.

More storage surrounds the mirror above the toilet. Every single nook and cranny in this tiny space has been planned.

Another view from the outside shows just how tiny the home is. And it’s mobile!

The Hall’s often get asked questions about their unique living situation. Here are some answers to some of the most common questions they receive.

Q. Where does everyone sleep?

A. Their son sleeps on the couch in the living room, it’s the same size as a twin-size bed, just longer. The couple sleeps upstairs in the loft.

Q. What are the dimensions of the house?

A. The house is 8ft x 20 ft and is 13.5′ tall.

Q. How long did it take to build?

A. The Halls started building in May 2014 and were finished by November 2014.

Q. How much did it cost?

The Hall family shows that living tiny doesn’t mean giving up luxury.

In just 160 square feet, they are enjoying their adventure of living simply.
