Harrison Ford is celebrating his wife, Calista Flockhart’s 58th birthday, in style by piloting one of his swanky private jets into Los Angeles on Friday afternoon.
Moments after landing the longtime Hollywood leading man, and aviation enthusiast, could be seen sitting in the cockpit, with his headset on, getting directions from the air traffic controller for the final taxi across the runway.
Once Ford drove the jet to its proper parking spot, he opened the cabin entry door and proceeded to help the birthday girl’s mother Kay get down the five steps and off the plane.
Ford was all smiles as he docked the $18.8 million Citation Sovereign jet, the largest of his prized collection with top speed of 525mph and a 3,200 nautical mile range, into a hangar.
And then, after being the first of the family to step back on to the ground, the actor appeared to briefly check the exterior of the plane before opening the cabin door.
The Chicago native looked handsome in a light blue dress shirt that was tucked into dark blue jeans and black sneakers.
Flockhart, who’s best known to many fans for her titular role as Ally McBeal (1997-2002) in the hit series, then exited the jet while leading one of family dogs on a leash.
Like her husband, the actress kept it casual in the fashion department dressed in faded black jeans, a gray sweater and white retro Adidas sneakers.
She also had her dark brown styled long and straight just past her shoulders with a part in the middle.
Moments later, Ford and Flockhart gently helped her mother (born Kay Calista) out of the jet and down the steps back onto the ground.
It turns out the legendary actor picked up his mother-in-law in Tennessee on his way from New York to Los Angeles.
Flockhart’s mom has been retired and living in Morristown, Tennessee, which is just over 225 miles east of Nashville.
It didn’t take long before an SUV pulled up next to the jet and the family of three got in and were off seemingly to celebrate Flockhart’s 58th birthday.
