On Tuesday, Harry will release his tell-all memoir Spare.
What the book will include, and what will be revealed about the Royal Family remains unclear. Several members, including King Charles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton, are likely to feature, though some reports suggest that Harry’s father might actually be spared from most of the criticism.
Willam and Harry’s relationship has been a big talking point in the last year. Whether or not the brothers will ever be able to mend their broken relationship is a question only time can answer. Yet one royal expert is now suggesting might put an end to any hopes of William and Harry plastering over the cracks.
It’s believed that William might be heavily criticized by his brother in Spare. Not only that, but Kate could be too, according to royal commentator Daniela Elser.
Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary – released in early December – was the beginning of the next chapter for the Sussexes. After the infamous Oprah interview, things had been relatively quiet regarding their opinion of the Royal Family after they left for pastures new. That changed abruptly with the Netflix series, though neither Meghan nor Harry mentioned too many names in particular.
On January 10, however, Harry is set to publish his memoir. It has been a talking point for a long time, and several reports have revealed that his book – published by Penguin Random House – is bound to create new tension between himself and the rest of the Royal Family.
Some say it will include sections focusing on the rift between Harry and William and the presently-strained relationship between Harry and his father, now-King Charles. But now, reports suggest that Kate Middleton also will get her fair share of criticism.
Harry’s tell-all book has been said to be an “accurate and wholly truthful” account of his life.
The Prince dropped the news that he was writing a new book four months after the now-infamous Oprah interview aired.
“Prince Harry will share, for the very first time, the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him,” Random House said in the press release, teasing the book as an “honest and captivating personal portrait.”
New details about Harry’s book were disclosed recently, and the release date is January 10. It will be named Spare, and there has been speculation that it might address Harry’s “spare” role as the second son of a king. Other reports suggest the meaning behind it focuses on that fact that he has been “spared” from the Royal Family now that he has left.
Harry reportedly paid $20 million upfront for ‘Spare’
No matter what, it’s generally rumored that the memoir will paint a negative picture of his family. According to Page Six sources, the book will contain several truth bombs.
