We got our son engaged and prepared for the wedding. We set our wedding day for March 4 and started preparing for the wedding in mid-January.
At the restaurant, my daughter-in-law and my son did the opening dance first, I excitedly pulled out my phone to take pictures, and just as they started dancing, my daughter-in-law passed out. We were frightened and called an ambulance. The doctors came and it turned out that my daughter-in-law was two months pregnant.
All the guests found out about it. I was so ashamed that I could not look anyone in the eye.
After the wedding I told my son and daughter-in-law that you are not ashamed, you should have told me earlier so we would not be so ashamed.
I was very upset, I didn’t have time to process that I was going to have a grandchild. Then slowly the situation went away and now I realize that it was no big deal. The main thing is that my grandchild will be born healthy.
