We have been married a little less than a year. Everything was fine, we lived with my husband’s family, my mother-in-law and father-in-law treated me like family, and I never felt like a stranger. Then I realized that every time my mother came to visit, there was tension. Because no matter what my mother-in-law said, my mother would make a scandal out of it, and force us to move out and live separately.
I thought that my mother does not want to hurt me and my mother-in-law, and following her advice, I happily talked to my husband about it, which escalated into an argument.
It all escalated so much that one day my mother-in-law spoke to me, she said she was okay with us living apart. In addition, she said that we are not bothering them at all and can not even think about moving.
My mother-in-law, of course, understood everything and explained it to me so well that I felt hurt for my behavior, I apologized and told my mother not to talk about such trifles. If it hadn’t been for my mother-in-law, my family would have fallen apart.
