Receiving a letter from someone at the school might concern some parents, but this letter isn’t one of those.
This sweet note from a school bus driver details something precious she observed with two kids.
Princeton bus driver Cindy Clausen sees many kids on her job. She’s probably seen many of them grow up. With all those kids she sees, it’d take something special and unexpected to make her remember these two as she did.
In the note, Cindy spoke about how siblings Annaliese and Jorge treated Jackson, another child at the same school.
Jackson has a neurological condition that makes life a bit of an uphill battle for him. His condition often leads to him having trouble walking. Making his way upstairs and stepping onto buses would, of course, be even harder.
What’s more, having a condition like that at his age makes him vulnerable to bad treatment.
Most of us have been treated bad for petty things in our time. Liking a different color, having a different hairstyle, or just not fitting in with the other kids.
But most of us still got off lucky. Being treated bad for a physical condition that you can’t change could hurt a lot more, and I can only hope Jackson is spared from this sort of thing.
Well, he luckily has friends he can depend on.
The letter from Cindy details just how great a pair of friends Annaliese and Jorge were.
“I am compelled to write to tell you how beautiful your children are, inside and out! This can only come from the home, your patience and guidance, the examples that you set and teach.”
Turns out, Annaliese and Jorge were there for Jackson when no other kids were.
“Some days, Jackson is a little sad getting on the bus. But as soon as he sees Annaliese and Jorge, he smiles. Jackson has difficulties walking and it takes a bit for him to get to his seat. Today, Annaliese looked out from around her seat and said, “come on Jackson, you can do it”, and when we arrived at school, Jorge took it upon himself to carry out his backpack.”
This meant the world to Jackson and his mother, Belmax.
She was taken aback at how Annaliese and Jorge managed to be so genuine and pure at their age. It’s all thanks to their parents, who clearly raised them right.
Jorge Narvaez-Salgado, their father, was pleasantly surprised at the news. Setting a good example for your kids is always a parent’s top responsibility, and Jorge was delighted to hear that his parenting skills paid off.
I hope Annaliese, Jorge, and Jackson remain the best of friends as they grow up.
It’s not every day that a bond like this forms between kids.
With the story having gone viral, millions of people saw what was possible when a parent sets a good example for their kids. Teach your kids to be kind since it could mean the world to kids like Jackson.
