Death is inevitable. However, it’s in everyone’s wish list to live till old age. We tend to face the uncertainties of life every day.

A typical day could turn into your last one with any incident bringing it to an end.

For this reason, the old can never go unnoticed and are often admired for surviving through the challenges in life. Julia Flores Colque is one of the few who have managed to stand the test of time.

She celebrated her 118th birthday a few months ago. Yes, 118.
Julia came into this world on 6th October 1900. Her years in this world earn her a unique title and respect for being the oldest woman in her country. Julia could as well be the oldest in the world. This possibility comes after a Japanese man who reached 116 years of age passed away last year.

The strong woman looks like she might break the world record for the oldest woman held at one hundred and twenty-two years.
Julia has four more years to go.

Julia has an agemate from Bolivia who turned 118 in the same year as Julia.

His name is Zenon Villca Flores, and in his possession are identification details that clearly show he was in the early 1900s.
Luckily, he has a loved one taking care of his every need and wants.

Apart from the two agemates sharing a birth year and a surname, they are both celebrated for outliving the average human expectancy.

Julia would have wanted to dance on her feet and sing to her favorite music during her birthday but she couldn’t. Slightly after she turned a century old, she suffered a bad slip that paralyzed her.

Julia only moves in her wheelchair. But you can tell that she is still full of life.

Julia had a wonderful 118th birthday with friends and family showing up to celebrate her many years on earth.

She played the guitar, had her piece of cake and celebrated her big day in style. Surprisingly, we learned that Julia has never been married and has no kids, but lived a life full of joy.
