In this retro clip from 1959’s Rio Bravo Western, a very young Ricky Nelson sings a rousing and soulful cowboy tune that’s so difficult to pull off, it’s capable of evoking emotions that even John Wayne couldn’t pull off.

For those of you who are young and don’t know what we’re talking about, this is Rio Bravo, 1959. American western produced and directed by Howard Hawks, starring John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, Angie Dickinson, Walter Brennan and Ward Bond.

During his career, John Wayne became quite popular due to his unique character. Throughout his career, he has been one of the oldest and most talented characters on the screen. He was both a soldier and a cowboy. He has always been an unpredictable person. Wayne was a pro at maintaining a serious demeanor, making him one of the most memorable and recognizable actors of his generation.

But in this clip from the 1959 film Rio Bravo, Wayne’s character shows a rare side as he joins Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson in a performance of the song.

Written by Jules Fartman and Lee Brackett, based on B. H. On McCambell’s short story “Rio Bravo”. In this movie, the sheriff of Rio Bravo, Texas, arrests the brother of a local rancher so he can help a drunk helper.

With the help of Khegandam and a young gunman, they restrained the gang of ranchers. Rio Bravo was shot at Technicolor’s Old Tucson Studios outside of Tucson. In 2014, the Library of Congress recognized Rio Bravo as “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” and listed it in the National Film Registry.
