One elderly gentleman knows how much his wife loves to have perfect curls so he went to a salon to learn more about this style.
The man from Alberta, Canada wanted to know more about curling hair because his wife often burns herself when doing her own hair.
He knew that his wife deserved to have perfect hair, but didn’t want to continue seeing her burning herself whenever she tried to have the perfect look. And so, he stepped up and did what he thought was the right thing to do.
In a Facebook post written by user “Hair Design by Britney”, an elderly man (who did not want to be identified) can be seen as he is being taught how to curl a person’s hair.
The 79-year-old man entered the salon without an appointment with a single mission in mind: to learn about curling.
According to the Delmar College of Hair and Esthetics in Red Deer, the senior citizen arrived unannounced and asked about the basics of curling a person’s hair. He went to one of the hair stylists to ask some questions.
Carrie Hannah, the school’s director, saw that the man wanted to learn and so, right at that moment, the woman gave him an impromptu lesson about hair curling and applying mascara.
The Facebook post has reached over 407,000 shares on the social media platform.
The attention he has received is quite overwhelming, but he still did not want to be identified. He was only a simple man wanting to give his wife the proper hair care she so deserves. What a sweet husband!
“He started to explain that his wife was struggling with her vision right now, and was struggling to curl her own hair and was burning herself. He really wanted to help her,” Carrie told City News.
In this time and age, it is definitely difficult to find another man like him.
“He genuinely cared. He knows his wife always cared about her appearance, and he wanted to help her.”
Carrie has been in the salon industry for 31 years, and this is the first time she met a man like him.
It was a breath of fresh air to see a man who cared so much about his wife that he bravely entered a salon so he could help her achieve the look she wants. It is understandable why people loved this elderly man.
“He just genuinely warmed everyone’s hearts and just really feel good. We really needed some cheering up, and he sure did it.”
The elderly man learned the basics quickly and even had a quick trim before leaving the salon. He surely made a lot of people smile during his short but meaningful visit.
