John Travolta and daughter Ella Bleu celebrated the day that would have been Kelly Preston’s 61st birthday with heartfelt tributes for the wife and mother.

Honoring her special day on October 13th, the father and daughter duo shared throwback photos of the beautiful Jerry Maguire star, who, in July 2020, died at 57 after a two-year battle with breast cancer.

Kelly Preston’s last Instagram post was on June 20, 2021, a Father’s Day dedication to John Travolta, whom she married in 1991.

The post included a family photo of Preston and the Pulp Fiction star along with their daughter Ella, now 23, and son Benjamin, who turns 13 on November 23.

Also included in a separate black and white photo is Travolta, sharing a tender moment with their son Jett, who died at 16 in 2009.

“Happy Father’s Day to the best one I know, we love you,” the Mischief star wrote only weeks before she died.

Preston was a successful actor with a decades-long career in Hollywood. Some of her notable films include Twins, Jerry Maguire, and For the Love of the Game. She met Travolta while filming the 1987 comedy film The Experts.

Keeping up with the family traditions of posting loving messages on social media, the 69-year-old Grease star continues to include his late wife by sharing sweet wishes on special days.

On September 5, Travolta commemorated what would have been their 32nd wedding anniversary by posting a clip of their gorgeous daughter. He writes, “Our baby girl Ella in celebration of Kelly’s and my wedding anniversary – I’m so proud of you!! I know Mama would be too!”

And October 13, the day Preston would have turned 61, Travolta shared a birthday tribute to the Hawaiian-born Preston on October 13th.

“Happy Birthday Kelly! We love you!” he wrote in the message, which was shared with a gorgeous photo of the actor.

The post captured emotional responses from celebrity friends, including Sharon Stone, Joey Lawrence, Sammy Hagar, and Rosanna Arquette who wrote, “Beautiful on the inside and out Kelly. Bless you, angel. Happy birthday love to your family John.”

Meanwhile, for her mom’s birthday, Ella also shared a sweet throwback photo of her cuddled up with her mom, sitting next to a table topped with a bowl of dessert and a candle.

Her touching message reads, “Happy Birthday mama, you inspire me every day.”

Responding to Ella’s post, Florida-based producer Kimberly Heath-Carrico remembered Preston fondly and shared a sweet memory: “She was that genuine to all that she met…she was a dear, sweet, precious human. May you embody her your whole life! She was like a butterfly. Her beauty was seen, and she gently touched all in a way that was ethereal.”

Online users also jumped in with heartfelt comments, reminding Ella that “she’s always part of you.” “She was a beautiful soul inside and out and I’m so sad for you but she’s always part of you and she’s in your heart forever,” writes one fan.

A second shares, “She’s with you every day and I’m sure very proud of the young lady you have become,” while a third writes, “I can’t even imagine how much you miss your Mom and Jett. You, your father, and Ben are so blessed to have each other. Your father is a very loving, talented man!”

Another netizen shares, “Two Beautiful women. [Ella] you [have] grown up to look so much like your beautiful Mum. It especially shows in this photo of you two. Sending love.”

The Saturday Night Fever star used Ella’s post as an opportunity to remind her how much she is loved. He writes, “Ella, Mommy, and I love you.”

It is so heartwarming that John Travolta and Ella Bleu keep Kelly Preston’s memory alive by celebrating her on special holidays, like Mother’s Day, anniversaries, and her birthday.
