Melania Trump is a week away from returning to the White House. The Slovenian-born model will become First Lady for a second term at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, with her husband, Donald Trump, taking the reins for his second and final presidency.

The inauguration includes appearances from other former presidents and first ladies, and this time around, it will see Trump take over from the Bidens, who will leave the White House the same day. However, just days ago, Donald Trump and Melania Trump met several former presidents and first ladies for a sad reason.

The Trumps attended the funeral of the late President Jimmy Carter, who passed away aged 100 two weeks ago. Barack Obama was also present at the sendoff, as were the Clintons, George W. Bush, and Joe Biden and Jill Biden. Yet when it came to pictures from the funeral, it was Melania who was the main focus. Fans quickly spotted one detail of her outfit and were left furious.

Donald Trump and his wife are set to return to the White House in short order. On January 20, the former real estate mogul will be inaugurated as President of the United States for a second time.

Although Trump has not yet taken office, he has already become the talk of the town over his many ideas for the future, not least about the possibility of wanting to buy Greenland.

Though many things are already set in stone, one element that has been continuously on the agenda since Trump’s victory is the question about Melania Trump’s second term as First Lady. It’s been rumored that she might not reside at the White House full-time but instead split her time between Washington, Palm Beach, and New York City.

Since the couple’s son, Barron Trump, was born, Melania has put all her heart and energy into guiding him through life, being there as a mentor and loving mother, and keeping him far away from the spotlight and the media scrutiny that has followed his father around for decades.

Now, Barron has enrolled at Stern Business School at New York University, which means Melania will most likely spend a lot of time there, supporting her son as he adjusts to college life.

Melania kept a very low profile after she and her husband left the White House in 2020, but as the presidential election last year approached, she began appearing more and more. In October, she released her memoir, Melania, and now, just days before the inauguration in Washington, a new bombshell project has been revealed.

On Sunday, Amazon confirmed they had begun filming a new behind-the-scenes film about the incoming First Lady Melania. Besides the documentary, which will be released in theaters later this year, a follow-up documentary series is reportedly also being produced. As per Puck News, three people familiar with the deal said that it’s worth $40 million in licensing.

On Tuesday, Melania appeared on Fox & Friends, where she discussed the new documentary series. She explained that the book was “such a success ” that she felt people would love to hear more from her.

“So I had an idea to make a movie, to make a film about my life. My life is incredible. It’s incredibly busy and I told my agent I have this idea so please go out and make a deal for me. We started the production in November and we are shooting right now. So it’s a day-to-day life. What I’m doing, what kind of responsibilities I have, people they don’t really know and they will see it,” Melania told Fox.

“It’s day-to-day from transition team to moving to the White House, packing, establishing my team, the First Lady office, moving into the White House. What it takes to make the residents your home, to hire the people that you need.”

Melania Trump says Barron Trump will have a bedroom at the White House

The incoming First Lady also discussed moving into the White House again, explaining that this time would be different as she knew the process.

“I have the plans, I could move in, I already packed, I already selected the furniture that needs to go in, so it’s a very different transition this time, second time around,” Melania said.

“What happened is on January 20th, the transition team has only five hours to move Bidens out and to move us in, so everything needs to be planned to the minute.”

As mentioned, Donald and Melania’s son, Barron, won’t be staying with his parents at the White House as he did last time. However, though he might not visit weekly, his mother told Fox that Barron is always welcome at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

“Obviously he’ll have a bedroom there, but he’s an adult, he’s in college now. I think he will come and visit, yes,” she said, adding that she’d love if he’d bring friends. “Yeah, whatever he would like to do, yes. I feel that as children, we have them till they are 18, 19 years old. We teach them, we guide them, and then we give them the wings to fly. And I always respect Barron’s yes and no, and what he likes to do, where he would like to be.”

Several sources have previously told People Magazine that Melania “will do everything she can” to support Barron’s well-being and ensure his good grades. Meanwhile, the 18-year-old will not get the “full college experience” by living in a dorm.

“Living in a dorm in a college town isn’t in the stars for him at this point,” a source told People. “Barron already has his own political ideas. It all needs to be monitored in light of the situation.”

” I don’t always agree what my husband is saying”

“Whether or not others think he is capable of being on his own, Melania feels it’s better to be around him as much as possible,” that source continued. “I see that continuing.”

Another unnamed source stated: “She wants to encourage him to make friends, be super careful of the haters which can be anywhere — especially on college campuses these days — and keep him mentally healthy by having open communication with him and the rest of her immediate family.”

When Melania first became First Lady, many didn’t believe she was up to the challenge. Perhaps this was because neither she nor Donald Trump had any real experience of what life in politics was like.

However, this time, Melania sees it very differently. She told Fox that people “didn’t accept” her or “didn’t understand” her the first time, as she didn’t receive much support.

“Maybe some people they see me as just the wife of the president, but I’m standing on my own to fit, independent. I have my own thoughts, I have my own yes and no. I don’t always agree what my husband is saying or doing, and that’s okay,” Melania added.

In an interview with Time Magazine to celebrate Donald becoming Time Person of the Year, the former and future president stated that Melania would be at the White House a lot. Speaking with Fox, Melania confirmed her husband’s words – but also said that being first lady won’t be her only priority in the second term.

Melania Trump in attendance for Jimmy Carter’s funeral

“I will be in the White House, and when I need to be in New York, I will be in New York. When I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach, but my first priority is to be a mom, to be a first lady, to be a wife,” she said.

While Donald and Melania are preparing for a new life at the White House, the weeks leading up to the inauguration have been a sorrowful time in the US. Former president Jimmy Carter passed away on December 29 after becoming the longest-lived president in US history and the first to reach the age of 100.

As with every president, the funeral plans were grand. Many former presidents attended the funeral, including Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and George W Bush, as well as the sitting president, Joe Biden, and his wife, Jill.

Donald and Melania were both in attendance when Jimmy Carter’s official state funeral service was held at the Washington National Cathedral last week. While many praised them for being there, fans were furious with the future First Lady. Why? Because of her outfit.

Melania wore a long black wool belted coat with a white collar, a two-piece outfit that had been a collaboration between house designer Pierpaolo Piccioli, Jun Takahashi of Japanese label Undercover, and a group called the Movement for the Emancipation of Poetry, whose members paste lyrical lines onto the walls and monuments of Italian cities.

Melania slammed for “pilgrim” outfit

While some thought it looked lovely, others thought Melania didn’t look proper at all. According to the Mirror, fans were “puzzled” by what she was wearing, even comparing her to a nun.

“I’m glad this time, Melania found an appropriate black dress to wear to a funeral,” one individual stated, sharing a manipulated image of her wearing a bonnet.

“She just got off the Mayflower,” a second commented.

Others compared Melania Trump to a “pilgrim.”

“WTF is Melania wearing did the nun store have a sale,” a third person commented, per the Daily Beast.

“Melania wearing a pilgrim outfit,” a fourth said, while a fifth added, “Looks like our next four years of ‘What the f— is Melania wearing?’ starts today.”

A sixth person concluded, “Did Melania just finish up cleaning the bathroom?”
